PPPoE Setup Instructions
How will you be connecting your computer to your Internet Equipment? You must use an ethernet cable in all cases.
Windows
The Connect to the Internet wizard will guide you through the steps of setting up a Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) Internet connection.
- Open the Connect to the Internet wizard by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, clicking Network and Sharing Center, clicking Set up a connection or network, and then clicking Connect to the Internet.
- On the How do you want to connect? page, select Broadband (PPPoE).
- Continue to follow the steps in the wizard.
- Use PPPoE username and password provide on your confirmation email.
Mac

On your Mac, choose Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen > System Settings, then click Network in the left sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

Click the Action pop-up menu (…) on the right, then choose Add Service.

Click the Interface pop-up menu, then choose PPPoE and make sure Ethernet is selected in the Ethernet menu. Click Create. (ok to use the PPPoE name)

Use PPPoE username and password provide on your confirmation email.

Leave Service Name Blank

Click PPPoE Options and select the Connect automatically when needed.
The instructions below are for a PPPoE setup when ethernet cable connects from the wall jack, or from your ADSL/VDSL Modem to your Router on the WAN port, and your computer is connected to the LAN port via another ethernet cable. * Web Interface may vary with different make and model, please contact us if you need further assistant with PPPoE setup for your router: 818-449-2626
Belkin Wireless Routers
- Open up a web browser (Firefox, IE,Safari, or Chrome) and in the address window type: http://192.168.2.1
- The Belkin Main menu will appear. On the left side click on the Connection Type. A password box will appear. Leave the password field blank and hit submit (unless you changed the main password, then use that).
- You will see WAN Connection Type. Click Next to The PPPoE and hit the Next button.
- The PPPoE screen will appear. Enter the Username and Password you were provided. Leave Service name blank. Leave all other default options as is, such as DHCP, ect. 5. Submit changes.
Dlink Wireless routers
- Open up a web browser (Firefox, IE,Safari, or Chrome) and in the address window type: http://192.168.0.1
- A Password box will appear. The default for most Dlink routers is to type admin for the username and leave the password blank.
- You should see the D-link connection page. Click on Setup. next click on Manual Internet Connection Setup
- For Internet Connection Type, change the drop down box To PPPoE.
- Enter your provided account name and password, and click Save Settings
Netgear Wireless Routers
- Open up a web browser (Firefox, IE,Safari, or Chrome) and in the address window type http://192.168.0.1 Or http://192.168.1.1
- Username and password fields will appear. Type in the default username “admin” and the default password “password” (case sensitive)
- You will now see the Netgear page
- On the left hand side click Basic Settings
- It will ask, “Does your internet connection Require a login?” Select Yes
- In the Internet Service Provider drop down box, choose PPPoE. If you do not have this option, choose Other.
- Enter your provided Username and Password.
- Leave Service Name blank
- Apply/Save changes.
Linksys/Cisco Wireless routers
- Open up a web browser (Firefox, IE,Safari, or Chrome) ad in the address window type: http://192.168.1.1
- Username and password fields will appear. Leave the username blank and enter “admin” for the password. If this doesn’t work, use “admin” for the username with no password. If this doesn’t work, try “admin” for username and “admin” for password. If this doesn’t work, use the password you changed the router to or reset it to default.
- You will see the Linksys router page appear. Under Internet Setup click Internet Connection Type
- Change the Internet connection type to PPPoE
- Enter your Username and Password. Leave the Service Name blank.
- Apply/Save changes.
TP-Link Wireless Routers
- . Open up a web browser (Firefox, IE,Safari, or Chrome) and in the address window type tplinkwifi.net
- Username and password fields will appear. Type in the default username “admin” and the default password “password” (case sensitive) Then click Next.
- Choose the time zone you’re in. Click Next.
- On the Select Connection Type page, select PPPoE and press Next.
- Enter the Username and Password we provided to you. Click Next.
- Click Next on the Personalize Wireless Settings page.
- After you have set up the wireless settings, the TP-Link router tests whether it can connect to the internet. If the test is successful, the router checks for firmware updates, and if it finds any, asks you to upgrade. If you follow this recommendation, expect the upgrade to take a couple of minutes and wait for your router to reboot. Then, the setup wizard displays a summary of your settings. Your router is now set up. If you’d like to bind your router to your TP-Link ID so that you can manage your network remotely using their mobile Tether app, click Next
- Enter the email address and password associated with your TP-Link ID, or press Sign Up and create a free account right away.
